Village Blinds and Shutters is a locally owned family business based in Ballymena, County Antrim. We’ve been making blinds right here in County Antrim since 1991. Over those years, we’ve supplied blinds which have been installed in hundreds of thousands of homes across Northern Ireland and the UK. Homes just like yours, and ours.
We’re proud to be a thriving manufacturing business in Ballymena, we love our community and take our commitment to the local area and our team of over 40 employees at our Pennybridge factory and showroom very seriously.
We provide our free home consultation service to customers across most of Northern Ireland. and border counties such as Donegal, Monaghan, Cavan and Louth. Our distinctive vans can often be seen travelling in County Antrim, Greater Belfast, North Down, and the Mid Ulster area. If you live outside these areas, don’t worry, get in touch using our booking hotline 0800 059 0747 and we’ll do our very best to accommodate you.

Our representative will arrive at time agreed and discuss your ideas and plans. They will measure your chosen windows and present you with our range of material samples and colours and offer friendly knowledgeable advice based on the information you have provided. On average a home consultation takes around 20-45 minutes. We pride ourselves in our integrity and honesty and will never pressure sell under any circumstances.
If possible we would ask that you move any breakable vases or ornaments from the window area, and if possible move any furniture to aid access to the window area. This helps our representatives provide you with an efficient service.
Village Blinds and Shutters has partnered with Omni Capital Retail Finance to offer customers interest-free payments on orders £250 or over. (Subject to status, terms and conditions apply).
Yes, If you are aged 18 or over, have been a UK resident for at least 3 years in permanent paid employment (over 16 hours per week), retired (receiving a pension), in receipt of a disability benefit or self-employed and with a UK bank or building society current account to accept direct debits.
The process usually takes around 10-15 minutes to complete. using The Omni Retail Finance Site. You will be asked information about your residential employment history as well as your bank details. You will also be asked to approve a credit check based on the information you have provided.
Once you have completed the application process you will usually get an instant decision. There are 3 possible outcomes.
Approved, Great news! You will then have to pay us the agreed deposit to proceed with the transaction, then we’ll get to work on your new blinds.
Referred, The application has gone to an underwriter who will manually look at the details. They may contact you via the methods you have indicated or ask you to upload supporting documents for your application to be considered.
Declined, Unfortunately, the application has not been accepted.
Once you have paid your agreed deposit, (minimum 20% of your order value), we will start the manufacturing process. Once the blinds are complete we will contact you to schedule a convenient date and time for fitting.

Yes, if you have bought a blind or shutter from Village Blinds and Shutters and live in Northern Ireland or border counties such as Donegal, Monaghan, Cavan or Louth, fitting is absolutely free
If you live outside our area, free fitting can still be arranged, (appointment dates might be a bit more limited though). Your best option is to get in touch and we’ll do everything we can to help.
Our customer service team will keep you updated on the progress of your blinds being made for you. Once they’re ready we’ll contact you to process your remaining balance and arrange a suitable free fitting date and timeYou can always give us a call on: 028 2564 4444 and we’ll be happy to help in any way possible.

Also you will need to remove any existing blinds from the window. This helps our installation team provide you with an efficient service.
If you decide to place an order we can process your deposit, (50% minimum). This can be paid directly to our representative via credit/debit transaction, by cheque or cash or by Bank Transfer. Once we receive a deposit for your blinds we will begin the manufacturing process. Once your order is ready, we will contact you to process your remaining payment. arrange and confirm your fitting date.
Our installation team will arrive at time agreed and get straight to work fitting your new blinds. Once completed our installation team will talk you through the operation of your new blinds. They will then will ask you to sign an agreement that you are happy with the blinds, service and safety elements of the blinds.

Our design consultant will arrive at the agreed time slot and ask you questions about your requirements and style preferences to help understand your project. They will measure your windows and discuss fabric/material options and provide you with a quotation based on your choices.
Depending on your requirements, a home appointment can take from 30 minutes for 1-10 blinds, to 60 minutes for 10+ blinds or window shutters. Our design consultant will work at your pace and we’re happy to stay longer to talk through your options and provide advice if you’d like.
We would ask ahead of the home appointment that you have arranged clear access to the window areas being measured and that any obstructing furniture or breakables near the windows are removed.
Once the windows are in, plastering has been completed and any tiling or skirting or architrave that might be close to the blinds has been installed. This will allow our design consultant to take accurate measurements.
Usually, our design consultant will be able to provide you with your quotation during your appointment. Sometimes for some very bespoke projects pricing can take a little longer. If you haven’t heard back within 24 hours, give them a call or email and they will keep you updated.
Our production team work tirelessly to craft every single blind and shutter for our customers individually. Lead in times can vary depending on factors such as material availability and our production schedule. That being said we will always work to get your order as quickly as possible. Ask your design consultant for an up-to-date lead time estimate.
