A Stunning New Build Home

Our customer’s home was the perfect blank canvas to create some beautiful interior design featuring some of our amazing bespoke Blinds. They had two large square window bays as well as a large patio door in their second living space.

With a lot of space and windows to work with this was a prime opportunity for our Design Consultant to work with the customer to create an exceptional interior space using unique and contemporary style.

Dark Wooden Blinds

The main style of Blind chosen throughout our customer’s home was Dark Wooden Blinds. Wooden Blinds have long been a popular choice for homeowners seeking a blend of functionality and timeless style. Their natural beauty and versatility make them an excellent addition to any room.

Benefits of Wooden Blinds

Natural Aesthetic Appeal

One of the most significant advantages of our customer’s Dark Wooden Blinds is their natural aesthetic. These Blinds bring warmth, texture, and a touch of nature into your living space. They complement various interior styles, from classic to contemporary, adding a sense of elegance and sophistication.

Excellent Light Control

Wooden Blinds provide excellent control over natural light. With adjustable slats, you can easily regulate the amount of sunlight entering your room, creating the perfect ambience. Whether you want to let in maximum light or block it out completely, Wooden Blinds offer the flexibility you need.

Enhanced Privacy

The Dark Wooden Blinds are ideal for enhancing privacy in your home. When closed, they effectively block the view from outside, ensuring that your indoor activities remain private. This makes them particularly suitable for bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas facing busy streets.

Durability and Longevity

Our customer’s Dark Wooden Blinds are incredibly durable and can last for many years with proper care. The natural strength of wood means that these Blinds are resistant to wear and tear, making them a long-term investment for your home. Additionally, they are less prone to bending or breaking compared to other materials.

Energy Efficiency

Wood is a natural insulator, and these Dark Wooden Blinds help to improve the energy efficiency of their home. By reducing heat gain in the summer and heat loss in the winter, they can help maintain a comfortable indoor temperature and potentially lower your energy bills.

Customisation Options

Wooden Blinds come in a variety of finishes, stains, and colours, allowing you to customise them to suit your home’s decor. Whether you prefer Dark Wooden Blinds or a natural wood finish, you can find Wooden Blinds that match your style perfectly.

Eco-Friendly Choice

For environmentally conscious homeowners, our customer’s Dark Wooden Blinds are an eco-friendly option. Many manufacturers source wood from sustainable forests, and the natural material is biodegradable, making Wooden Blinds a responsible choice for the environment.

Easy Maintenance

Maintaining Wooden Blinds is relatively simple. Regular dusting and occasional polishing can keep them looking their best. Unlike fabric Blinds, they do not require frequent washing, which makes them a low-maintenance window treatment option.

Roman Blinds

Wooden Blinds are not always a preferred choice for bathrooms even though they can now be made from moisture resistant faux wood materials. Our customer instead opted for Roman Blinds in their bathrooms which are another fantastic choice of Blind.

Benefits of Roman Blinds

Elegant and Versatile Design

Roman Blinds are renowned for their sophisticated and versatile design. Their smooth, fabric folds create a soft, tailored look that suits a variety of interior styles, from traditional to modern. Whether you prefer a minimalist design or something more decorative, Roman Blinds can be customised with different fabrics, patterns, and colours to match your decor.

Effective Light Control

Roman Blinds offer excellent control over the amount of natural light entering a room. Depending on the fabric and lining you choose, you can achieve different levels of light filtration, from a gentle glow to near-blackout conditions. This makes Roman Blinds an ideal choice for rooms where you need to manage light levels, such as bedrooms, living rooms, and home offices.

Enhanced Privacy

Roman Blinds provide a high level of privacy, especially when made with thicker fabrics or blackout linings. When fully lowered, they completely cover the window, preventing any visibility from outside. This is particularly beneficial for ground-floor rooms or windows that face busy streets.

Energy Efficiency

The fabric layers in Roman Blinds can help improve the energy efficiency of your home. By trapping air between the window and the room, they provide an extra layer of insulation, reducing heat loss in the winter and heat gain in the summer. This can contribute to a more comfortable living environment and help lower your energy bills.

Customisation and Personalisation

One of the greatest advantages of Roman Blinds is the ability to customise them to fit your exact style and needs. With a wide range of fabrics, colours, and patterns available, you can create a bespoke look that complements your interior design. You can also choose from different styles of Roman Blinds, such as flat, hobbled, or relaxed, to suit your aesthetic preferences.

Space-Saving Solution

Roman Blinds are a space-saving window treatment, making them ideal for smaller rooms or windows where space is at a premium. Unlike curtains, which can take up wall space when drawn back, Roman Blinds neatly fold up when not in use, keeping your window area clear and uncluttered.

Durability and Long-Lasting Quality

Roman Blinds are designed to be durable and long-lasting, especially when made from high-quality materials. With proper care and maintenance, they can retain their beauty and functionality for many years, making them a wise investment for your home.

Ease of Operation

Roman Blinds are easy to operate, with options for manual or motorised control. Motorised Roman Blinds offer added convenience, allowing you to adjust your Blinds with the touch of a button, perfect for hard-to-reach windows or simply for added luxury.

Real Reviews from Real Customers Across Northern Ireland

Being Different with Dark Wooden Blinds

During their consultation, our customer explained that they wanted to be a bit different with their Blinds and stand out from some of the styles they were seeing in their area. They had many neighbours with White Wooden Blinds in the contemporary style we see in a lot of new build homes. Whilst they agreed that this looked nice and the style worked for their neighbours, it just wasn’t for them. So instead of picking a neutral colour our Design Consultant found a dark colour that matched their window frames. This kept the design in line with what they already had in their home, whilst also making their Blinds boldly stand out!

We then were able to match the colour with Aluminium Venetian Perfect Fit Blinds for their patio doors. We also found a complimentary fabric for the Roman Blinds in their bathroom windows. This maintained a consistent look that added style to their windows whilst also complimenting their established decor.

A Stunning Result

In the end, both our customer and our Design Consultant were very satisfied with how the Blinds looked in the home. They now had a bold and unique design with Blinds that provided privacy and comfort in their home.

Their style was now reflected on their windows, complimenting their already-established decor whilst still standing out and offering something themselves.

Village Blinds and Shutters Home Appointments FAQ

Our design consultant will arrive at the agreed time slot and ask you questions about your requirements and style preferences to help understand your project. They will measure your windows and discuss fabric/material options and provide you with a quotation based on your choices.

Depending on your requirements, a home appointment can take from 30 minutes for 1-10 blinds, to 60 minutes for 10+ blinds or window shutters. Our design consultant will work at your pace and we’re happy to stay longer to talk through your options and provide advice if you’d like.

We would ask ahead of the home appointment that you have arranged clear access to the window areas being measured and that any obstructing furniture or breakables near the windows are removed.

Once the windows are in, plastering has been completed and any tiling or skirting or architrave that might be close to the blinds has been installed. This will allow our design consultant to take accurate measurements.

Usually, our design consultant will be able to provide you with your quotation during your appointment.  Sometimes for some very bespoke projects pricing can take a little longer. If you haven’t heard back within 24 hours, give them a call or email and they will keep you updated.

Our production team work tirelessly to craft every single blind and shutter for our customers individually. Lead in times can vary depending on factors such as material availability and our production schedule. That being said we will always work to get your order as quickly as possible. Ask your design consultant for an up-to-date lead time estimate.
