At Village Blinds and Shutters, we are delighted to share the excitement from the recent Let’s Play event hosted by the Ballymena Rugby Club Women & Girls Section. As proud sponsors of the U12 team, witnessing over 160 young girls showcase their rugby talents was truly inspiring.
A Day to Remember: Over 160 Girls on the Pitch
The event, hosted at Eaton Park, Ballymena, brought together teams from across Northern Ireland, including Ballymoney, Limavady, Larne, Ballyclare, Armagh, Ballynahinch, Carrick, Instonians, and Cooke. Girls from U8 to U12 demonstrated exceptional skills and sportsmanship, highlighting the bright future of girls’ youth rugby.
Ballymena Rugby Club Girls U12 Community Spirit and Teamwork
The success of the Let’s Play event was a collective effort:
- Dedicated Referees: Thanks to Tony, Mark, James, and the visiting club referees for ensuring fair and fun matches.
- Delicious Treats: A special shout-out to Kathleen for her mouth-watering mobile BBQ and to Monty for providing hotdogs that energized our young athletes.
- Amazing Volunteers: Jeanelle, Lisa, Helen, and Kate served food with smiles, while Steph and Beverley kept everyone refreshed at the bar. Tim and Ciaran expertly managed the traffic, and Paula captured memorable moments with her photography skills.
